First, I want to thank everyone of you, who took the time to read my blog. I hope for those I have not talked to personally, it has helped you in some way.
The last couple of days have been a blast. I have talked to so many people around the world looking for answers to how they can get in the best shape possible.
I have given some advice, set up workout and nutrition programs and even had video conference workouts with individuals and a few groups.
Doing the video conference workouts were so cool, because I could be there without being there. I got to inspire and instruct people that I would never get to meet because they lived in different cities and a few different countries. What was really wild was when one of the people took their laptop to the gym and set it up so I could be a part of their entire workout. He told me it was the most intense workout he had ever had, and everyone was watching him while he was doing it. A few of the people there also asked me some workout advise. I think that this will soon be a wave of the future.
There was one point I want to make, I was talking to a lady in Australia, who to me has the athletic mindset that I talked about in my last post. She was concerned that she has been working out but lately it had not been showing on the scales. Her question was,”Is it normal to workout and not lose weight?” She was concerned that something was wrong, she sounded kind of frustrated. After couple of conversations and asking her about her workout regiment and making a few suggestions, it boiled down to one thing. It had nothing to do with her workout, she was in incredible shape. It had to do with the misconception that we as a society must weigh a certain weight or we are not in shape.
The real questions are: Do you feel healthy?; How do you look?; Are you happy with where you are?
If you answer positive to all the questions above, how much you weigh does not matter. She said she was happy where she was at. Problem solved. The point is if you are happy where you are, don’t let scales , charts or people tell you differently.
Let me clarify something, this lady is and has been working her behind off and that is why she is in incredible shape. Her concern really boiled down to whether or not she was fitting in the so called norm, because of what we have been told we are suppose to weigh.
If you are overweight (actually the correct term is out of shape), then you need to get into shape. My message is to you the people that have been working your tales off but are not hitting the numbers you have been told your suppose to weigh. Like I said if your happy where you are then you have won. The scales and the charts can lie to you.
Here is a great example, I know somebody that is 6′8″ , 265 lbs. The charts say that this person is 30 to 40 lbs. overweight and out of shape. Do you think that LeBron James is overweight or out of shape? Most people think he is a total physical specimen. Those are his measurements. See the scales and the charts don’t always tell the real story. Your happiness is the real key.
Got to go, workout time for me. I will be talking to you again in the next couple of days. If you have any questions: MSN: aussery@gmail.com Skype: aussery.ussery
I will be back in a couple of days, until then stay safe and blessed.
